Project Details
Also known as the Hale Boggs Memorial Bridge, the structure is 10,700 feet in length and crosses the Mississippi River. It features unpainted weathering steel towers and superstructure, an orthotropic steel box girder superstructure, and two planes of cables in a fan pattern. It is the first cable stayed bridge added to the Interstate Highway System.
