WB constructed IH-10 Bridge over the Neches River for the Texas Department of Transportation. The Neches River Bridge carries heavily traveled IH 10 over the Neches River in Beaumont, Texas.
The new Neches River Bridge has twin structures 3,896ft long with approach spans of TX70 precast, prestressed concrete beams supported on reinforced concrete bents using 18”and 20”square, precast, prestressed concrete piles on concrete footings. Twin 680-ft-long segmental box girder units 320-ft-long main span flanked by two 180-ft-long back spans. The girder depth varies between 18 ft at the piers to 7 ft at mid-span.
The twin cell box girder structures are 70 ft wide at the top slab level. The roadway width provides space for four lanes plus shoulders for each of the twin structures, for a total of
eight lanes of capacity.
